Red Musical CristianaI am Elber Montiel Cansino, Colombian, born in Planeta Rico, Cordova. Rise since I was a child in the gospel, serving in music since I was 8 years old.

I began playing some percussion instruments; soon I took some classes from guitar along with my brother Jair. After months we decided to retire of the classes and to undertake a self-training way. God provided with many resources in spite of living in a small town where the opportunities of overcoming in music were very little.

I grew in church’s atmosphere, in the middle of the praise group. Little by little God was open trails and letting me know other churches in my town as in other cities. During my 13-14 years I was working in a recording studio laboring as a musical arranger, activity that I performance until today.

Throughout more than 20 years that I have serving to God in music, I have seen the great unbalance that exists among Christians in this area. When there are churches that have a “group star” in the holder and several more seating, there are churches that only count on a bad tuned guitar, and still more, it is very common to see churches where they simply put a CD of some well-known singer and adore God with the lack of musicians. When having the opportunity to leave my geographic area I notice this is common in Latin America.

At the beginning of year 2001, God allowed me to travel to Costa Rica. The panorama was almost identical, to see as much abundance in some churches and shortage in others. Although this is cause of the lack of importance that the leadership gives to the music ministry, also it has to do with the lack of tangible resources within reach of any ministry. While in Costa Rica I received many e-mails of my friends to request the chords of some song that wanted to perform, since the resources in the Internet were little and some were not trustworthy, even thought they were elaborated obviously with the intention to help, they lacked of technical capabilities.

My stay in Costa Rica changed many things of my life, among those, was the labor aspect, “unfortunately” I had to leave for a period of time music and dedicate to the technology, in the Web Design, network and computer maintenance.

This turn was something that God used to train me in that area and thus to be able to combine the technology with music, which has given as a result the creation of Christian Musical Network.

We are an international and interdenominational community of Christian musicians and singers where we shared useful resources for the local ministry of praise. Such as: scores, coding, audio, video, instructive material, texts, etc.

The main goal of RMC (by its Spanish abbreviation) is TO SHARE, nevertheless, we did not support no type of piracy in our network. The published resources are produced by the same members of RMC, or in different cases, it would be counted on the due authorization of his intellectual proprietor.

We are expecting to be the Web reference for the Latin Christian musicians in the world. A goal that we see very probable, since at this point, with only three weeks of been published the Web site, we have almost 500 registered members, this with very few resources, pure work and time.
